So I bought this bike from Wal-Mart.

And it worked.
But, it was just a little...blah.
My husband said we could give it a little makeover. Ok, he didn't exactly use the word "makeover", but something along those lines. So after he assured me it was possible and he'd done it before we decided to paint my bike!
Here's what we used:

The first thing we did was take it apart. EEK! This kind of freaked me out.

Then I removed all the sticky icky stuff with Goo Gone. It's important to wipe the bike down with a wet rag after this. If I had to go back I'd probably give the bike a light sanding too.

Then we covered and taped the chain and all the areas we didn't want to paint. And when I say "we" I mean my husband. :)

"We" hung up the chain guard with wire to paint it.

Then "we" primed it. Painted it. Then sealed it. We followed the drying directions on the paint for each step. Mr. Giggler put the bike back together by himself. My brain shuts off when I see a pile of parts and screws.

The basket was BORING too.

Here's what I used to paint the basket.

Primer

Paint

To finish it up I made a cute lining for the bike with some fabric I bought from Ikea. I only paid $1.99 per yard! I'm kind of in love with the flowery print! Ikea? Go figure.
Drumroll please....

Ok maybe not.
TADA!!

What do you think?!
We left the fenders and wheel wells the original color. I think they go well with the pink.

I LOVE the basket! It turned out so cute!

Here's a close up so you can see the pink a little better.

I'm in love!

There's only one thing left to do.
