My daughter has this awesomely adorable little playhouse at her grandparents house. The outside is completely done, but the inside was a little ruff. My wheels started turning right away. Paint, curtains, bunting, a little table and chairs, a little wreath for the door, a chalk board…..
I could go on and on.
Isn’t it so cute!
Anyway, Mr. Giggler painted the inside white and I got started on my first playhouse project.
THE FELT FIREPLACE!!
Every house needs a fireplace!
The decorations on the mantel are removable. We decorated for Valentine’s Day. 🙂 I added a piece of Velcro to the back of the frames, because they wouldn’t hold on their own. The heart bunting is just felt on felt.
The logs are also removable. I used one layer of felt and stitched them to look like wood. They just looked like huge band aids before. 🙂
It’s a hit with the little giggler! She said “it’s cool”. Finally she likes something I made!
Jimmy likes it too.
